A green feedback loop

I took a class at our local conservatory a few weeks ago on butterfly garden design. The neat thing about designing gardens and plantings for butterflies (other than having butterflies!), is that they work to support other native pollinator populations, too. Heard of the honeybee shortage? It's going to impact our ability to grow food crops. Encouraging native pollinators (other bees, butterflies, etc.) will help fill the gap and keep our agriculture industry healthy. Not only will your garden be beautiful (butterflies have very nice taste in flowers), it will be working for them, relaxing for you and feeding your neighbor.
